Zero-waste technology

Company’s policy adds up to environmental responsibility as our production process is based on zero waste technology. Wood residues left from splitting firewood fuel kilns, leaving no waste unused.

Wood fuel is an environmentally friendly choice as it is Co2 Neutral. A fallen tree left to rotten naturally emits as much CO2 as the same amount of burning firewood.

Where does our wood come from?

100 % of UAB VLI Timber wood supply come from Lithuanian state forests, which assures only legaly harvested trees reach production site. Lithuania has been recognized to be the best in the world in protecting forests (The annual Environmental Performance Index, Yale University, 2012). In addition to that, Vli Timber holds FSC® chain of custody (FSC-C109548) certificate, issued for companies that purchase wood from well-manged forests.
